This is one of the really fun parts of my site that I would like to share with you. One of my favorite things I love to do is treasure hunting! I'd like to fill you in on all my exciting treasure hunting adventures. My husband Paul, is not always crazy about the weird things I bring home however, he has liked a quite a few of them recently. His feelings are this, "something new comes in, something old goes out!" So, I try to abide by this rule (except for when he is not looking. Hee, hee) and I have to think twice or three times about whether my treasures are "great gems" and also whether I should take my treasures home or not? So, come along with me as I share all my stories about my new and old hunting "gigs" and the awesome treasures I have discovered. You can also share with me what awesome things you have found. I would love to hear your stories and adventures.
What a Bummer, this one had glass! (Wednesday- July 27th, 2011)
Yesterday I was driving in my neighborhood on my way to an appointment, and I saw that a person has put out approximately 50 or 60 glass panels about 1/4 inch thick, 2 feet long and 4 inches wide. I thought of all the things I could make with these slats of glass. They were wrapped in wet paper towels which was somewhat weird, so, I didn't want to put them in my car. Because I was on my way to a appointment and didn't have much time, I had to think fast and then pass them up even though I could think of all the things I could do with this glass.! As I drove away, I dreamed of all the things that these glass pieces would be great for such as hanging them from my ceiling, like a massively huge wind chime or mobile I also thought they would be great for a painters palette or small shelves.
Does anyone have any suggestions of what they could be used for?
